TYs had a great day yesterday :)
The English Trip was a great success and and we had great craic :D The Yeats Exhibition in The National Library was really interesting and I loved being able to see Yeats own handwriting and pieces. I really enjoyed learning about Yeats and I'm sure this will come in handy in the future :D
The Bog Bodies were actually pretty scary, I didn't expect them to be so..urm..detailed ? haha They still had some teeth, fingers, ears, toes, facial hair and the hair on their heads still had its natural colour and one even had Gel in his ! After 2000 years !! A lot of them had some pretty gruesome deaths including getting several blows to the head and then being disemboweled :SAfter an hour of being set free to have our lunch on Grafton street we met up again with our teachers and set off for Juno and The Paycock in the Abbey Theatre. It was fantastic ! So much better seeing it on stage than reading it in the book ! The set was amazing, so realistic and I couldn't stop looking at all the little props all over the stage. The actors were perfect and it really felt like you were actually there. Mr. Boyle and Joxer were very comical through the play and had us all laughing. The end scene was very emotional and had some of us in tears.
It was a great experience having read the play to actually go and see it being performed :) Thanks to the English teachers :)
